Jim Connelly, Florence DiGiorgio and Dean Miller were all let go by WWE as of 2/10. Connelly had been with the company since 1999 after spending nearly 25 years as the Managing Director of NFL Europe and later Senior Vice President of Consumer Products for the NFL. He was considered a “major pcik-up” when he joined in 1999 to oversee Global Licensing, Home Entertainment and Book and Magazine publishing. While at the New York Toy Fair last week, people in WWE’s Consumer Products division were described as “awkwardly dancing around questions on who to contact” in regards to potential licensing deals. The official word coming out of WWE is that they are reorganizing the department.
