We reported on Friday, per Fightful Select that sources within WWE had said the company is “on the one yard line” in getting a former WWE Champion to appear on the Day 1 episode of Raw on January 1, 2024. The report also noted that WWE feels quite confident they can get the deal done before Monday.
Fightful Select further noted that WWE wasn’t specific on who this former WWE Champion is or could be.
Soon after the report was published, Triple H – WWE’s Chief Content Officer and Head of Creative, took to X, saying he won’t “confirm or deny” rumors of a former WWE Champion appearing on Raw Day 1 and to “stay tuned.”
