NXT Wes Lee announced during the show that he will need surgery. Lee said that he does not have feeling in his legs. As a result, Lee will not be able to challenge Dominik Mysterio for the NXT North American Championship at the Deadline PLE this Saturday.
Dominik then came out and mocked Lee. Dominik then told Lee that he would be defending the title this Saturday. It was at this moment when Dominik’s father Rey appeared on the video screen, who said that Dragon Lee would be challenging Dominik for the NXT North American Title on Saturday. Lee then appeared in the venue and attacked Dominik.
According to PWInsider, Lee’s injuring is 100 percent legitimate. The commentary team of Vic Joseph and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T noted that Lee could be out up to one year.
