It is Wednesday, my dudes…you know what that means.
After the opening pyro we get a look back at last week, when The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn were beaten down backstage by mystery assailants, clearly perpetrated by whoever is acting as “the Devil.”
Back at ringside, HOOK makes his way to the ring for our opening contest! Out next is the AEW International Champion as Orange Cassidy walks with his partner to the ring before Mox and Yuta make their way through the crowd toward the ringside area…only to be intercepted by Cassidy and HOOK! This fight spills back up the stairs with Cassidy being worn down by Mox as Yuta goes after HOOK.
This fight finally makes its way back to the ring, as the bell rings to get this match officially underway!
Blackpool Combat Club’s Jon Moxley and Wheeler Yuta vs. Orange Cassidy and HOOK
Yuta and HOOK start things off with the latter taking a big body slam by Wheeler, who wears the FTW Champion down before tagging in Jon. With Cassidy still down on the outside, HOOK is left to fend for himself as he squares off with the former AEW World Champion, who takes HOOK down before tagging Yuta back in for more damage. Yuta takes his contemporary down before tagging Mox back in, but HOOK looks for a Redrum on him!
Mox fights out of it before chaos ensues on the outside with Cassidy finally getting back into the match! Cassidy tags in, going up agains the man he faces at Full Gear…who takes the champ down hard with an assist by Yuta as we go to picture-in-picture!
Picture-in-Picture: BCC are firmly in control of the match as Yuta and Mox both wear the champ down, before Mox goes after Cassidy’s back in the corner…followed by a big superplex to send him crashing into the canvas! Mox looks for a sleeper hold but the champ is fighting back as we return from break!
Mox takes Cassidy back down before mocking the champ with his own “dangerous kicks” while shouting abuse at him…and this just fires Cassidy up, who gets his hands in his pockets, before catching Mox with a dropkick! Cassidy kips up, and moments later Yuta and HOOK are tagged in as the two young men trade strikes before HOOK sends Yuta to the corner for a Northern Lights suplex and a nearfall!
Yuta starts to turn it around with a German suplex, but HOOK reverses out of a second one to hit a German of his own on Yuta! Both men end up down on the canvas as the ref begins the count. The men take until nine to get to their feet, as Mox runs in to get involved after a tag, but he’s cut off by Cassidy!
Mox ends up taking a massive Orange Punch, but he’s not fazed by it! This surprises Cassidy, who gets taken out of the ring before Mox tags in Wheeler…and a Death Rider followed by a seatbelt pin gives BCC the win!
Winners via pinfall: Blackpool Combat Club
Mox grabs a microphone after the match, running down Cassidy before promising he will take back his championship and grind Cassidy down at Full Gear! He drops the mic before BCC leave the ring.
-Commercial Break-
Back from break, we see The Golden Jets, Kota Ibushi, and Paul Wight arrive in preparation of the Like A Dragon Gaiden Street Fight later tonight.
Back at ringside, Tony Schiavone explains the situation between Hangman Page and Swerve Strickland by stating that any physical altercation between them results in a suspension for the rest of the year and the match at Full Gear being called off. With that, he welcomes Swerve to the ring before introducing Page to an ovation from the crowd..one that is met with a focused, angry Hangman heading straight to the ring.
Page stares down a smiling Swerve as Schiavone reminds them of what could happen if they get physical. Swerve is asked to justify going to Page’s house, but Hangman interrupts to run Strickland down. He says Swerve can’t cut it, that he is not the man he claims he is, before matching Swerve’s energy in making it personal. He continues by saying Swerve surrounds himself with yes men, all while letting Prince Nana make his living off of Swerve’s back.
Hangman then says Swerve is a child, and because he teaches children he will give Swerve the last lesson he’ll never learn. We won’t need lawyers or cops, because at Full Gear, Page will be Swerve’s judge, jury, and executioner. Page stops for a moment, before giving one last statement regarding the stipulation saying he and Swerve can’t get their hands on each other…but they didn’t say anything about Prince Nana!
Page wallops Prince Nana before security rush to get involved, breaking things up until one of the guards (a Big Nasty one, I see you sir) gets flipped over with a Buckshot Lariat by Hangman! Swerve leaves the ring alongside security as he stares Page down from the ramp.
Backstage, Renee talks to Roderick Strong and The Kingdom about Strong’s claim that he knows who The Devil is. Strong calls up Adam Cole to reassert his claim that the Devil is MJF, only for Cole to suggest it might actually be Strong before hanging up!
Back at ringside, Skye Blue makes her way to the ring for our next contest! Red Velvet is out next and this match is underway!
AEW TBS Championship Qualifier Match: Red Velvet vs. Skye Blue
The two women lock up to start, exchanging holds to see who can get the upper hand…and it ends up being Red Velvet who grabs the ropes sending Skye back. They go back and forth before catching each other to stop the momentum, only for Velvet to drop Skye and hit a standing moonsault for a close nearfall!
Velvet sends Skye to the corner before driving her boot into the throat, showing off as she steps back before hitting a dropkick…but this is still just a nearfall! Skye rolls out of the ring, heading back to the apron before cutting Velvet with a DDT onto the apron itself!
Skye brings Velvet out of the ring, sending her into the barricade as we go to picture-in-picture!
Picture-in-Picture: Skye is still in control, keeping up the damage out of the ring before bringing Velvet back in to continue wearing her down. She eventually sends Velvet into the corner for a big running boot for a nearfall! Skye is back on the attack now as she stomps away before slamming Velvet’s head against the canvas for even more damage…but Velvet starts fighting back with some stomps of her own! Velvet gets to the corner, climbing up for a moonsault but gets intercepted as we come back from break!
Skye rocks Velvet on the turnbuckle before hitting a powerbomb! This leads to an exchange of nearfalls that ends with a slight advantage for Velvet, who takes Skye down with a big kick! Skye gets to her feet, only to be taken down with a running charge by Velvet, who stays on top of it with another big attack.
Knee strike by Velvet, but Skye dodges a followup kick before looking for a Code Blue…but ends up slamming Velvet down on her face with a Skye Fall for a nearfall! Velvet gets back to her feet, taking Skye down hard but still only gets a nearfall for her troubles!
The action ends up back in the corner now as Velvet and Skye go at it on the turnbuckle…before Velvet drops Skye to the canvas hard before making the cover! BUT SKYE KICKS OUT!
Skye fights back with a kick, but Velvet returns the favor…only to take a Code Blue giving Skye the pin and the win tonight!
Winner via pinfall: Skye Blue
We see Julia Hart watching on from somewhere backstage as Skye leaves the ring following the match.

-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, RJ City is standing by with Mariah May who looks to meet Toni Storm. It takes a moment, but after some black & white shenanigans May heads into the dressing room to say hello…but she’s cut off by Storm, who offers little niceties before May ends up leaving the room. Storm calls Lutha to get herself a “tune up match” for Friday before we go back to ringside!
Back at ringside, Samoa Joe makes his way to the ring for our next contest which may or may not go pretty quickly as the bell rings!
Samoa Joe vs. Jon Cruise
Cruise tries his best to get an early advantage over Joe, who easily overpowers the up and comer before taking him out with a Coquina Clutch for the submission victory!
Winner via submission: Samoa Joe
Joe gets a microphone after the match, reminding us all who he is before extending an offer of friendship to MJF ahead of Full Gear…but the time is limited, because whether MJF accepts or not, he is Samoa Joe and he is inevitable!
Video Package: Continental Classic announced with the final taking place at World’s End!
Back at ringside, Pentagon El Zero Miedo and Komander make their way to the ring for our next contest. Out next are the Young Bucks to a big pop from their hometown crowd before the match gets underway!
The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) vs. Penta El Zero Miedo and Komander
We start off with Nick and Komander as they exchange their show of agility, with Komander taking advantage of the situation before Penta tags himself in. Matt gets a blind tag as well as Nick and Komander keep going at it before both their partners get into it…and we end up with all four men down, eventually getting to their feet for a handshake that leads to a double superkick by the Bucks! They shake hands with a smirk on their face before hitting a dive onto the luchadors on the outside.
Action comes back into the ring as Matt goes after Penta in the corner…only for Penta to counter it, tagging in Komander who leaps at Matt off the ropes! Matt fights back, sending Komander to the corner before tagging in Nick. Chaos ensues as Penta runs in, before getting sent out of the ring with a headscissors by Nick as we go to picture-in-picture!
Picture-in-Picture: The Bucks stay in control of the match, wearing down Komander as they keep Penta from coming back in throughout the break before we return!
Komander is finally able to turn things around, hitting a rope walk dive to take them out of the ring before tagging in Penta! Penta goes wild as he takes the action to the Bucks, before tagging Komander back in as Matt gets into the match…and hits a locomotion suplex!
Meltzer Driver is thwarted by Komander, sending Matt into Nick before Penta hits a Fear Factor on Nick to the apron as Komander covers Matt for a nearfall! Tag made to Penta who sets Matt on his shoulders as Komander walks the ropes…stepping onto Matt’s back to hit an arriving Nick with a Destroyer! Death Valley Driver by Penta on Matt for the cover…BUT MATT KICKS OUT!
Matt and Penta exchange strikes before Nick tags in, but so too does Komander who leaps off the ropes…INTO A LOW BLOW! Penta takes one too! The hometown crowd is not a fan of this, booing as Nick hits a Judas Effect on Penta sending him out before the Bucks hit a BTE that give them the pin and the win!

-Commercial Break-
Back from break, The Young Bucks are asked about why they cheated to win before they are confronted by Kenny Omega, who tells them to keep it clean for the PPV. Jericho steps in, running the Bucks down before he gets blindsided by them! This leads to a quick brawl before security intervenes as we get a look at tickets going on sale soon for AEW All In London next year.
Back at ringside, The Gunns make their way to the ring for our next match! Gunns make a beeline for the ring where their opponents await before the match gets underway!
The Gunns vs. Jacobi and Peter Avalon
Very, very quick match here, Avalon gets sent out of the ring quickly before Jacobi takes a 3:10 to Yuma giving The Gunns the pin and the win!

The Gunns cut a promo after saying they look to run down MJF for the ROH Tag Team Championship, and if you’re not down with that we’ve got two words for ya…Guns Up!
Video Package: Wardlow promises that MJF’s days are numbered, but we see a glimpse of The Devil once again!
Back at ringside, the Don Callis Family and Brian Cage make their way to the ring, decorated appropriately for the occasion of our main event for tonight! Out next is Chris Jericho, followed by Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi, and last but not least Paul Wight…but their opponents cut them off at the ramp to get this main event underway!
Like A Dragon Gaiden Street Fight: Don Callis Family (Powerhouse Hobbs, Kyle Fletcher and Konosuke Takeshita) and Brian Cage vs. Chris Jericho, Kota Ibushi, Kenny Omega and Paul Wight
It’s absolute chaos to start things off as Wight goes after Fletcher with a chokeslam among other things, before Kota and Cage head to the ring. Ibushi sends Cage out, but is cut off by Takeshita before Omega comes in to intervene! They take Takeshita down to a pop from the crowd before they head to the corners for a pair of big dives on their opponents on the outside!
We cut outside the area where Wight is still going after Hobbs, before action returns to the ringside area as Jericho goes after Cage with a bevy of weapons while Omega looks to jab Takeshita with a barbed wire bat! Takeshita fights him off before sending him into the post, as Cage sends Jericho into a table at ringside…and we cut to the top of the ramp where IBUSHI’S GOT A BICYCLE!
Kota rides down the ramp with a steel pipe in hand, knocking Cage away before being taken out by Takeshita…and back outside, we see Hobbs body slam Wight onto a nearby car! Back in the ring, Cage hands Takeshita the bicycle and the Alpha uses the bike against Kenny and Kota, firmly in control as we go to picture-in-picture!
Picture-in-Picture: Jericho gets involved, but is taken out of the equation for now by Takeshita as that fight goes into the crowd and up the stairs. Omega and Ibushi go after Cage at ringside as Jericho fights off Takeshita in a concession area…only for the Alpha to turn it around on the Ocho! Back at ringside, Omega grabs a palette for more damage as we come back from break!
Jericho and Takeshita still go at it and we see Wight being attended to, as the chaos continues throughout the arena. Back at ringside, Fletcher is once again getting involved after finally recovering from earlier, and they end up taking Omega onto the palette with a double suplex for Fletcher to get a nearfall!
Omega fights out of things as he takes Cage down, grabbing a beer bottle as we see Jericho and Takeshita still going at it elsewhere in the arena. Omega takes Fletcher out with the bottle, but Cage is right on top of him as Takeshita climbs onto a pair of refrigerators looking for a cross body…but gets told to cool down as Jericho blasts him with a fire extinguisher!
Back in the ring, Hobbs has returned to stop Omega and Ibushi from getting any further advantage in this street fight! The fruits of an earlier labor are picked as Cage brings Ibushi up the turnbuckle for a massive superplex through a pair of tables as we go to picture-in-picture!
Picture-in-Picture: The chaos continues to unfold during the break, though we do see Hobbs and Jericho alone in the ring as Hobbs takes the Ocho down hard with a spinebuster. Hobbs sends Jericho to the corner where he starts choking him out, before attacking his eyes and finally stepping away as we come back!
Omega is dealing with Cage as Ibushi gets taken down by Fletcher, while Jericho sends Hobbs out of the ring…but things get wild as Fletcher and Omega end up back in the ring! Fletcher makes a beeline for Ibushi, before sending him into a sign set atop some chairs with a tombstone piledriver!
Back in the ring, Hobbs charges at Jericho only to take a knee strike by Omega and a Judas Effect by Jericho…but he gets back up! Omega and Jericho look to cut him off by tying him up on the ropes with duct tape before slapping some on his mouth to shut him up. Ibushi has finally recovered, handing over some chairs to Omega who attacks Hobbs with them before slamming another bottle on him…only for Cage to rattle him with a discus lariat!
Cage takes Jericho down next, setting ups or a Drill Claw on Omega…but it’s not effective as Omega counters with a reverse rana! Omega hits a V-trigger on Cage and then on Hobbs, before driving Cage to the canvas with a One-Winged Angel of the pin and the win!

The team celebrates in the ring as we get reminded that we are still set to hear from MJF, up next!
-Commercial Break-
We get a rundown of what’s to come at Collision and Rampage, a massive Friday night of action ahead of Full Gear!
At ringside, MJF’s music hits as the man with two titles and no active friends makes his way to the ring. MJF has a microphone in hand, as he addresses what happened last week with The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn. MJF says he feels cursed sometimes, so he’s sorry that they got caught in the crosshairs that is MJF’s life and he hopes they feel better.
All MJF has ever wanted to be is a World Champion, spending every moment trying to make that a reality…and he is proud to say he has made it to the mountain top of professional wrestling. It’s not all glitz and glam however, because the air up there is thin. He sees men climbing up with the sole intention of shoving him back down.
MJF is afraid that he is going to let the fans down, like he did Cole, and the old him would’ve given up and run away. He is afraid but it’ll take a whole army to take him down! MJF tells Jay that he has a chance to take MJF’s spot at Full Gear, but he doesn’t think Switchblade can…in fact, he doesn’t think anyone can. Because his name is Maxwell Jacob Friedman, and he’s better than you and you know it! MJF ends with a message to whoever stole his Devil mask and has been initiating these attacks…there will be hell to pay!
Bullet Club Gold’s music hits as Jay White steps onto the stage, telling MJF to drop the act because he’s embarrassing himself. He’s trying so hard to be the hero when that’s not who MJF is. He’s always been the villain and he always will be. MJF has said time and time again that he is the Devil, and he is NOT the people’s scumbag. MJF should know better, because the people will drop him because he means nothing to them…but that’s okay because they mean nothing to him, either.
Jay says MJF knows his days as the official AEW World Champion are numbered, and that Switchblade is simply better than MJF. If you’re not down with that, he’s got two words for you…”get him.”
This signals the arrival of BCG around ringside, where they rush in to blindside the champ! Juice ends up hitting the Left Hand of God on MJF, laying him out before Jay hits a Blade Runner and a visible “pin” on the champ. Their music hits as Bullet Club Gold stands tall over MJF, with Switchblade mocking him as Samoa Joe watches on from backstage as the show comes to a close.
