It is Wednesday, my dudes…you know what that means.

Backstage we see Tony Schiavone talk to MJF, who addresses Bullet Club Gold before talking to Adam Cole. The champ says he does NOT need help, he can defend the ROH Tag Team Championship on his own at Full Gear, and starts to address his match against Daniel Garcia tonight when he and his friends show up to call him out.

After they walk off, Roderick Strong and The Kingdom show up to talk more trash on the champ who simply walks off, with Cole cutting the call short before we head to ringside for the intro and pyro!

Daniel Garcia makes his way to the ring for our opening contest, ready to challenge MJF for the AEW World Championship. The champion, sans belt due to Jay White’s actions recently, makes his way to the ring before this opening contest gets underway!

AEW World Championship: MJF defends against Daniel Garcia

The crowd chants for the champ before he and Garcia lock up, an exchange of holds leading to the champ getting one over on Garcia. The action heads to the canvas with Garcia getting an upper hand on MJF now, until the champ gets to the ropes to break things up. Menard interjects on the apron for a moment before Garcia takes the champ to the corner, but is forced to break it up as Max calls for sportsmanship and a handshake. Garcia starts to accept but slaps the hand away instead…and Max responds with a thumb to the eye!

MJF cinches in a hammerlock before taking the challenger down, and goes right back for an armbar on Garcia…who manages to turn things around on the champion before we go to picture-in-picture!

Picture-in-Picture: The champ stays on the attack, sending Garcia to the corner to wear the challenger down. Max brings Garcia back down to the canvas for a nearfall, but Garcia starts fighting back in the corner shortly after, even sending the champ into the corner with a hard Irish whip as we come back!

Garcia takes the champ into the corner again, this time celebrating with a short dance before hitting a snap suplex for a nearfall! Garcia catches the champ by surprise for another couple nearfalls, but MJF evades Garcia in the corner to hit a double stomp on his elbow! Double underhook by the champ into a shoulderbreaker, but that and a hammerlock DDT still only give MJF a nearfall as Garcia kicks out!

Garcia evades Salt of the Earth by heading to the ropes, and dodges a Heat Seeker…but MJF catches him with a superkick! Garcia responds by dodging a Panama Sunrise and kicking out the legs of the champ, but is unable to get the piledriver on MJF immediately after…but manages to connect with one arm! Cover by Garcia…BUT MJF KICKS OUT!

Garcia goes for the Dragontamer on the champion, but MJF counters out before cinching in the Salt of the Earth! Garcia has no choice but to tap out here, giving the champ the win!

Winner via submission and still AEW World Champion: MJF

MJF starts to celebrate before extending a hand to Garcia…but 3point0 intervene, keeping Garcia from shaking hands. MJF runs the pair down before offering the sign of sportsmanship again, but Menard and Parker once again keep Garcia from responding as they leave the ring.
