AEW World Championship match announced for 10/28 AEW Collision

As MJF headed up the ramp following his match against Juice Robinson and “a whole lot going on in the first half hour” (as noted in the AEW Dynamite recap), the champion was confronted by Kenny Omega who made his way to the stage.

Omega, with microphone in hand, responded to MJF’s comments last week reminding him that the champion was on the path to beating his record for longest-reigning AEW World Champion…something the Best Bout Machine took umbrage with.

This led to a challenge laid out for AEW Collision this Saturday, and a AEW World Championship match made official between MJF and Kenny Omega!

Omega looks to keep his streak alive and defeat MJF for the title, despite the fact the belt itself is in the hands of “Switchblade” Jay White.

White is currently set to get his shot at the title at AEW Full Gear on Saturday, November 18 from the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California…but Collision will determine who gets to take back what the Switchblade calls the “Bang Bang Belt.”

This adds all the more intrigue to the lineup for AEW Collision this Saturday night, which also includes Hikaru Shida defending the AEW Women’s World Championship against the winner of a four-way match between Willow Nightingale, Abadon, Anna Jay, and Skye Blue the night before on Rampage.

10/28 AEW Collision Lineup

  • AEW World Championship: MJF (c) defends against Kenny Omega
  • AEW Women’s World Championship: Hikaru Shida (c) defends against the winner of Nightingale/Abadon/Jay/Blue at Rampage
