Following the announcement that he will be appearing on SmackDown the day before, Roman Reigns is now being advertised for a defense of the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Sami Zayn at the WWE SuperShow live event in Kansas City, Missouri at the T-Mobile Center.
Not only is this Reigns’s first advertised match (let alone title defense) since the main event of SummerSlam on 8/5, but it marks the first time the champion has competed at an untelevised live event since 7/22, an event in Mexico that saw Reigns face Rey Mysterio.
This also marks Zayn’s first opportunity at the championship since 3/4, a Road to WrestleMania live event following his previous attempt at WWE Elimination Chamber in February.
