It was noted by Wrestle Ops on social media, that CM Punk said he has time on his hands for the next two months. Punk could possibly be referencing a non-compete clause after being terminated by AEW back on September 2, following an investigation regarding an altercation he had backstage with Jack Perry at the All In PPV at Wembley Stadium in London back on August 27.
Perry still remains suspended from AEW Indefinitely.

CM Punk returned to MMA commentary on Friday night. Punk joined John Morgan as part of the commentary team for CFFC 125, which aired on UFC Fight Pass on Friday night.
Friday night was the former AEW World Champion’s first televised appearance since the AEW All In pay-per-view back on August 27. AEW CEO, President and General Manager Tony Khan terminated Punk’s AEW contract back on September 2 after an investigation resulting from a backstage altercation with Jack Perry at the All In PPV. Perry has been suspended indefinitely from the company.
Punk previously did commentary with CFFC commentary at CFFC 71 and other CFFC events. His last appearance for CFFC was back on November 10, 2022 when he did commentary for the CFFC 114 event that aired on UFC Fight Pass.
