Jagger Reid and Rip Fowler, better known as James Drake and Zak Gibson of Grizzled Young Veterans, have reportedly departed from WWE.
On the most recent Wrestling Observer Radio show, Dave Meltzer noted that the team’s contracts were up and presumed that an angle would have played out on television, while a source within WWE claimed they had no information on the departure.
On the 9/12 edition of NXT a vignette aired revealing the pair were no longer a part of Schism, a group they were a part of the past several months.
The duo requested and were denied their release from the company in April, with Drake making a statement on social media that indicated their contracts were set to expire on October 14.
They were last seen on the 8/29 edition of NXT, competing against Julius and Brutus Creed in a steel cage match.
