Former WWE Superstar reportedly returning to the company

According to PWInsider Elite, former WWE Superstar Kairi Sane and WWE have “come to terms” on a return to the company. The report also notes that her return could be possibly this coming week.

Sane initially debuted for WWE in 2017. After a successful two year run in NXT, she moved to the main roster in 2019 and also worked as an ambassador for WWE in Japan. During her time in WWE, she held the NXT Women’s Championship and held the WWE Women’s Titles with Asuka – together they were known as the Kabuki Warriors. In addition, Sane also won the 2019 Year-End Award for Women’s Tag Team of the Year and is a former Mae Young Classic Winner.

Sane departed WWE back in December 2021, after her contract with the company expired.

Since she has been gone from WWE, Sane has competed for Stardom and NJPW. She also became the very first IWGP Women’s Champion. She became a free agent this past March.
