Ahead of WWE’s summertime festivities with SummerSlam, a charity fan event has been arranged to take place the day before at Ford Field.
The WWE SummerSlam Service Experience, an event supporting the V Foundation and Connor’s Cure, is set to feature appearances by Cody Rhodes and Liv Morgan and allow fans who support the cause an opportunity to “work alongside WWE Superstars to pack meals to those experiencing food insecurity in the city of Detroit.”
According to an article by The Detroit News, the event has raised $39,710 of its goal of $50,000 as of time of writing.
More information on the event, including opportunities to donate to the cause and be a part of the event in some manner, can be found here.
WWE SummerSlam takes place on Saturday, August 5 from Ford Field, and airs on Peacock in the United States and on the WWE Network internationally.
