After returning to IMPACT Wrestling at Slammiversary 2023, Eric Young has revealed that the gear he wore will be auctioned off for a good cause.
In an interview with Denise Salcedo, Young talked about the gear worn as he teamed with Scott D’Amore to take on Deaner and Bully Ray, in honor of his connections to D’Amore’s Team Canada in IMPACT history, and the auction on IMPACT’s official eBay page:
“All the proceeds will go to Joe Doering and his family. He’s got a long road ahead of him, and I know that there’s a GoFundMe for him. So, if you can, donate, and if you’re a collector and you want something, I’m never wearing it again.
It’s one-of-a-kind custom-made. If you’re a collector, please buy it. Please donate to Joe. That’s what we’re doing with that stuff.”
It was announced last August that Doering, a former member of Young’s Violent By Design stable, would be stepping away from active in-ring competition due to a previously-treated brain cancer returning.
In addition to the upcoming auction, anyone looking to donate directly to Doering and his family can do so by clicking here.
Wrestleview wishes Joe Doering and his family all the best during this time!
