As reported by PWInsider, there are potentially some big plans for tonight’s edition of SmackDown, with some possible SPOILERS for the show ahead.
According to the report, WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley and NXT North American Champion Dominik Mysterio are backstage at the show, with Dominik being confirmed via WWE on social media:
There are talks of Dominik being set to defend the championship, with the possibility of the Brawling Brutes’ Butch being the challenger, but as they say…the card is subject to change.
(UPDATED AS OF 7:41 p.m. Eastern): PWInsider also reported that Big E was seen backstage, but it is currently unclear what role if any the former WWE Champion may have on the show this evening.
In addition, Bayley is reported as being backstage, slated to appear alongside the Women’s Money in the Bank winner IYO SKY, and there are talks of the “Rules of Engagement” segment between Roman Reigns and Jey Uso to close out the show.
