After nearly four years of keeping to a small number of pay-per-view events per year, there appears to be an expansion on the horizon thanks to continued negotiations between AEW and Warner Bros. Discovery for a new TV deal.
A new report from Fightful Select has indicated that WBD has proposed expanding the PPV slate a great deal, including the possibility of a monthly schedule similar to that of WWE and its Premium Live Events.
It was not confirmed whether these events would be standalone or included in a streaming deal involving the media company’s streaming service, Max.
The report noted that nothing has been finalized as of yet, and the situation could change depending on how further the TV deal negotiations proceed.
