WWE revealed Pay Per View buyrate figures for the months of July, August and September in the company’s third quarter financial earnings report today.
Here is a breakdown of buyrate figures for the three months.
* Money in the Bank (7/17/11): The show drew 195,000 buys worldwide, up from 165,000 buys last year. The event was headlined by John Cena vs. CM Punk for the WWE Championship in front of a lively crowd in Chicago.
* WWE Summerslam (8/14/11): The show drew 296,000 buys worldwide, down from 350,000 buys last year. The event was headlined by a rematch between John Cena and CM Punk to unify the WWE Championship just weeks after Punk took off with the original.
* WWE Night of Champions (9/18/11): The show drew 161,000 buys worldwide, down slightly from last year’s 165,000 buys. The event was headlined by Triple H’s return to the ring against CM Punk with Triple H’s role as COO on the line.
