Competitor reportedly “bumped up” to full-time contract
According to a report from Fightful Select, an AEW competitor previously working on a per-appearance contract has been “bumped up” to a full-time deal with the company.
Diamante, who first appeared for the company on an episode of AEW Dark, has been noted as being given the deal after quite some time, while also working for the ROH brand, and was recently added to the official roster page on the AEW website.
Current champion requested Collision exclusivity
In an interview for The Undisputed Podcast with Bobby Fish, Malakai Black talked about asking AEW to make him exclusive to Collision, stating:
“I requested to be strictly on Collision. Because I don’t want people to get the pick, it’s like, no, Saturday night I get to see The House of Black, that’s what I wanted. Because if I give you the option for Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, you’re going to go, ‘It doesn’t really matter.'”
Malakai and his House of Black stable has been involved in a storyline with Andrade El Idolo on Collision, which makes for two featured players of the newest program in the AEW portfolio potentially going at it, though Malakai himself has not wrestled since Double or Nothing when the House of Black retained the AEW World Trios Championship against The Acclaimed.
