AEW has released a video package highlighting Nick Wayne.
He is scheduled to make his debut on next Wednesday’s Dynamite, which is will be just after his 18th birthday, in match against Swerve Strickland. The two have had a bit of heated rival in DEFY Wrestling, which is based out of Seattle, WA. They are currently at 1-1 in their series thus far.
Wayne is the son of the late wrestler and trainer Buddy Wayne. He signed a contract with AEW back in February 2022, after AEW star Darby Allin made an appearance and presented Wayne with the contract at a DEFY Wrestling event in Seattle. Wayne is also a former DEFY World Champion and has appeared for GCW.
Next week’s AEW Dynamite is set to take place live from the SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada.
