WWE announced that WWE Hall of Famer Edge will return to WWE SmackDown.
He will be a special guest on The Grayson Waller Effect.
Edge has not competed on SmackDown since he lost to AJ Styles in a Triple Threat Match that also featured Rey Mysterio on the May 12 episode, which was part of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Tournament.
Also announced for next Friday night’s show is Sheamus challenging Austin Theory for the WWE United States Championship. This match was made after Sheamus went after Theory on this Friday night’s SmackDown after Theory’s defeated Ridge Holland.
And finally, AJ Styles and Karrion Kross will have another matchup. Styles defeated Kross back on the May 19 episode of WWE SmackDown.
Next Friday night’s WWE SmackDown will emanate live from Madison Square Garden in New York City.
