Vince McMahon arrived at the XL Center for Raw sometime after 6:00 pm local time. It was noted that he “re-worked” the show and made changes to the order of matches and segments to fit his vision of what he wanted, which thus resulted in a reconfiguration of the show. It was further noted that is was not overtly stressful or over the top in what was required.
Unlike the last time McMahon was at Raw, there was not as much resentment or anger from the talents. PWInsider further noted that speaking to one talent from Raw afterwards, the talent said “the band-aid has already been ripped off” and that it is an unspoken understanding that Vince McMahon is back on the throne. Furthermore, it was stated that even if Vince is not around every week, it is well known by everyone that he is back in charge and that his decrees will be met.
PWInsider said that many of the backstage segments were presented as if they were “live” with talents then walking out to the ring for there matches were actually taped roughly 20 to 40 minutes ahead of time. However, some of the segments were taped a bit later than usual due to the reworking of the show.

The show was said to be sold out, with seats being sold that had partial view sections that were blocked by the staging of entrance areas, so fans in those seats could only see the ring, but not the Titantron, entrances. There were no empty seats in the venue, with the exception of seats that needed to be blocked for production areas.
The Raw sidecast on Twitch premiered Monday night with Drew Gulak, Megan Morant and The Bump’s Ryan Pappola discussing and reacting to Raw live.
A number of talents said how much fun they had working in front of the Hartford fans and pointed out Hartford is not a city like Montreal or New York City that normally has the reputation for being “on fire” as they were singing songs and loudly chanting. One talent said that there was a much larger amount of signs at the show, giving it a different feel and that the acoustics for the older, smaller venue allowed for it to sound like a much larger venue that what it is. A WWE staff member provided a theory that since the older venue does not have screens hanging overhead in all four directions of the building like most modern venues, it forced the crowd to focus on the ring and not have their attention scattered, making the fans more unified in their reactions to what was happening in the ring.
The segment with Cedric Alexander getting injured at the hands of Indus Sher went off as planned. It is being said WWE wants Indus Sher positioned strongly as they build towards their return to India for a live event in the country this September.
