NXT Battleground is set for Sunday, May 28, with plans to stream live on Peacock…but according to a report from the Wrestling Observer, there looks to be two big events coming for NXT over the course of the summer.
Dave Meltzer discusses this in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, providing an update on the summer schedule:
After 5/28, the next NXT major shows are expected to be a Great American Bash special on 7/4, which would be a Tuesday TV show, and an 8/12 Saturday night Peacock special. Neither is official as the NXT big show calendar according to those in WWE lists no big events after 5/28 as being official but both have been talked about.
Meltzer does note the difficulty in doing a show on July 4 given the holiday in the States.
