WWE has announced on social media that Bianca Belair will defend the Raw Women’s Title at the Night of Championships premium live event.
Asuka will again challenge Belair for the Raw Women’s Championship, in what is a rematch from WrestleMania 39, where Asuka was not successful in winning the title.
WWE did an angle during last Friday’s episode of SmackDown, which emanated live from Belair’s hometown of Knoxville, TN, in which Asuka had interrupted Belair’s Championship Celebration by spitting a toxic mist in Belair’s face. Later in the show, she was seen backstage received needed medical attention.
It has not appeared at this point with Belair who was drafted SmackDown, will be involved in a title swap with Rhea Ripley who was drafted to Raw and holds the SmackDown Women’s Title.
