‘Hacksaw’ Jim Duggan: Ready to do what he does best
Hacksaw Duggan
Young wrestlers like Mohammad Akbar think “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan “has been sitting on his rocking chair on his front porch rocking away, feeding the ducks, taking it easy, watching TV, watching the movies.”
Throwing his trusty 2×4 to the ground, Duggan made it clear “that that’s not the way it is.”
“I’ve been traveling the world checking out every young punk that wants to take down ‘Hacksaw’ Jim Duggan,” said Duggan, who has been feuding in AWE with Akbar, with whom he had a memorable match at AWE Night of the Superstars on Sept. 17. “I’ve been to Japan, I’ve been to Australia, I’ve been to Europe, I’ve been to South America. I’ve seen all kinds of fancy-dan karate chops. That don’t work with ‘Hacksaw’ Jim Duggan.”
His message to Akbar: “When you come down to the ring, I’m going to have one thing on my mind, and that’s to do what ‘Hacksaw’ Jim Duggan does best, and that’s beat people up, tough guy.”
Rock-n-Roll Express: Ready to go
Rock-n-Roll Express
The countdown to Oct. 15 – the AWE Night of Legends pay-per-view – has been ongoing for 10 years for Ricky Morton of The Rock-n-Roll Express.
That’s how long Morton has been calling out “Big Sexy” for a grudge match in the ring.
“It’s been building up for 10 years, Kevin Nash. Over the years, we’ve gotten ourselves a lot of scars and a lot of battles. But baby, this war right here, we might even get awarded a Purple Heart,” Morton said.
Alex Silva: ‘I am AWE’
Alex Silva
Alex Silva has taken to calling AWE “AlexSilva Wrestling Entertainment.”
A confident young man, he is, indeed.
“All we hear about is Marvin Ward. Who’s this guy? Who is he? What he has done?” Silva said, referring to the AWE CEO.
“I’m 20 years old, and I’m the biggest prospect this business has ever seen. I am AWE. I am awesome. I am Alex Silva. Hell, I’m more AWE than anybody else here,” Silva said.
