According to Fightful Select, former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Naomi (Trinity Fatu) was backstage at Saturday’s Game Changer Wrestling Scene of the Crime Event, which took place from the Engelwood Neighborhood Center in Orlando, FL.
There is no word if she was at the event looking to possibly work for GCW.
Fatu attended the Ring of Honor Supercard of Honor PPV event on March 31 to support her longtime friend Athena (former WWE Superstar Ember Moon), who successfully defended the ROH Women’s Title. Fatu confirmed back on March 23 that she is no longer with WWE. However, she is still listed on the WWE’s active roster page on the company’s website.
Fatu last wrestled in May 2022. She and and Sasha Banks (Mercedes Mone’) walked out of the May 16, 2022 WWE Raw at the Scope in Norfolk, Virginia over what was said to be due to creative differences and lack of respect as the Women’s Tag Team Champions. Both were suspended indefinitely and stripped of the titles.
Back on March 20, Fatu filed to trademark “Trinity Starr.” However, according to Fightful, on Saturday, Fatu abandoned the trademark back on April 17.
Fatu recently took to social media to shut down reports that NJPW/Stardom has not signed her due to money issues, while Mone reportedly has agreed to a contract extension with NJPW/Stardom.
