As first reported by Deadline, AJ Mendez has joined the cast of upcoming comedy film Sacramento alongside the likes of Michael Cera and Kristen Stewart.
This will be the first on-screen role for Mendez since 2019’s Rabid, whereas the film Blade of the 47 Ronin (written by Mendez) was released on Netflix in late 2022.
The former WWE Divas Champion (as AJ Lee) has stayed out of the ring in the wrestling world after her retirement in April 2015, most recently joining Women of Wrestling (WOW) as an executive producer and commentator.
