Hot off of his return to the ring at WrestleMania, John Cena has been revealed by name as part of the cast for the upcoming film Barbie as seen in the most recent teaser trailer.
Cena, whose most notable role as of late has been that of Peacekeeper in the DC film The Suicide Squad and MAX Original series Peacemaker, was most recently in Amy Rice’s The Independent and is set to reprise his Fast and Furious role of Jakob Torretto in Fast X.
The film Barbie, directed by Greta Gerwig from a screenplay by Gerwig and Noah Baumbach, is set to release in theaters nationwide on July 21, 2023.
