During Thursday night’s FTR with Dax Harwood Live CM Punk sent a message to his fans during Thursday’s FTR with Dax Harwood Live event special.
Harwood asked Punk if he wanted to send a message to the fans. Punk sent two messages to the fans and responded with “Yes” and “I miss them.” A CM Punk chant broke out. Punk then said another text to Hardwood for the fans, saying that he wishes he bought them all ice cream.
Punk is still currently suspended following a backstage fight with The Elite (Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks) following comments that he made during last September’s AEW All Out PPV media scrum. Omega and the Young Bucks were also suspended. They were then stripped of the World Trios Championships they had one earlier in the night. The Elite made their return to AEW television at the last November’s Full Gear PPV. The Elite would regain the World Trios Titles during a best of seven series with the Death Triangle on the January 11 episode of Dynamite, but then lost them to House of Black at Revolution in February.
Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler are very close friends with CM Punk. FTR has a match on the April 5 AEW Dynamite, where they will challenge The Gunns for the Tag Team Titles. If they can’t defeat The Gunns and win the AEW tag titles, FTR said they will leave AEW, thus speculating their future. Harwood has previously said he Wheeler’s AEW contracts are up sometime in April.
Punk suffered a torn left triceps during his All Out AEW World Championship Match against Jon Moxley, and then underwent surgery to repair the injury in September.
