According to Best Buy’s website, the AEW Fight Forever video game is showing a release date of March 31, 2023.
Earlier this month, AEW EVP President Kenny Omega, during an appearance on the Swerve City Podcast, confirmed the video game was having issues from being released because it had be scaled down in content in order to get an official ‘Teen’ rating in the United States by the ESRB (Entertainment Ratings Software Board).
In the ratings summary from the ESRB, it is noted the game contains some mildly suggestive material with female wrestlers in revealing outfits (e.g., deep cleavage, bunny outfits, partially exposed buttocks); wrestlers performing taunting gestures (e.g., crotch chop, slapping buttocks). Real footage sometimes depicts wrestlers drinking alcohol and smoking. The word “s–t” is also heard in the game.
The game will be available on Windows PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series. As of this writing, it is available for pre-order at the THQ Nordic Website, without showing an official release date.
It should be noted that WWE2K23 will be release with the the standard edition on Friday, March 17, 2023, which will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series XS, Xbox One, and PC. Those who pre-order the Deluxe and Icon Editions will have early access to the game on Tuesday, March 14, 2023.
