Canadian-American sports journalist, Ariel Helwani appeared on Friday night’s episode of WWE SmackDown at the Bell Centre in Montreal, QC. This was the go-home show for the Elimination Chamber, which is Saturday night at the same venue.
AEW CEO and President Tony Khan took to Twitter Friday evening to call Helwani a fraud and went on to say that Helwani is as legitimate of a reporter as Tony Schiavone.
Helwani has responded to Khan’s comments on Twitter. Khan, then responded back and again tagged Tony Schiavone. It is unclear how Schiavone fits into all of this. As of this writing, Schiavone has not commented on any of the tweets.
