WWE Hall of Famer Lita returned to Raw for the first time in nearly a year, attacking Damage CTRL in the main event segment.
Below is an excerpt from Mike Tedesco’s Raw recap of how it all went down.
Lynch climbs the ropes and kicks Bayley away. Lynch is on the top rope, but Bayley grabs her and climbs. Bayley connects with a Super Bayley-to-Belly for a near fall. Bayley begins to climb and is near the top of the cage, but Lynch cuts her off. They’re sitting on top of the cage and throwing punches. Lynch nearly falls off, but she climbs back up and uses the trellis to apply the Dis-Arm-Her! Bayley screams in pain and falls to the mat. IYO SKY quickly climbs to the top of the cage and knocks Lynch to the canvas. Dakota Kai hands a crutch to Bayley.
Suddenly, WWE Hall of Famer Lita runs down to the ring, the card which Becky Lynch has been waiting to play. Lita rips Sky off the cage, and she hits the floor hard. Lita blocks a crutch shot from Kai and pulls her into the steel steps. Lita then slams the door in Bayley’s face. Lynch hits a Manhandle Slam for the victory.
Becky Lynch embraces Lita in the ring as the show comes to an end.
Lita had a short run in WWE during January and February 2022. She was an entrant in the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble Match. Lita then had began a short feud with Becky Lynch and challenged her for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship at the the 2022 Elimination Chamber in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where she came up short.
Lita was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2014. She is also considered one of the icons of the Attitude Era.
