It’s been a bit of a whirlwind for Kevin Owens in 2022, from wrestling Steve Austin at Wrestlemania, feuding with the Bloodline, as well as suffering some injuries. But on a lighter note, the prize fighter known for pulling no punches in the ring or on the mic is making his acting debut.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Owens is set to make his acting debut on a show called “Bon Matin Chuck,” which is set to air next year in Quebec.
It’s a French language dramatic comedy on Canadian streaming service Crave, directed by JF Rivard and produced by Lou Belanger and Marieme Ndiaye; two wrestling fans who asked him to be part of the show. His scenes for 2023 have already been filmed. The show is centered around a radio host who goes through a scandal and needs to rebuild his image in the community.
Owens is currently rehabbing the injury he suffered at Sunday’s WWE house show but is slated to be at all WWE TV events leading up to the show, possibly leading into a spot in the Men’s WarGames match.
