Several big names reportedly stiffed on pay at independent wrestling event

According to a report from Fightful Select, several big name talent were reportedly stiffed on getting paid for appearing at the New Evolution Wrestling 3-year anniversary show that was held at the Queensboro Elks Lodge in Elmhurst, Kentucky on Saturday.

It is being said that IMPACT World Champion Josh Alexander, Ultimo Dragon, former WWE champion Alberto Del Rio, and NOAH wrestlers Katsuhiko Nakajima, and Naomichi Marufuji, were told that the promoter did not have any money and that they would get paid.

Fightful Select further notes After Alexander reportedly down the promoter, claimed to have had a medical emergency and had to leave for the hospital. It was further said he left all the money made from talent signings, which was said around to be $14,000 short of what was supposed to be owed. There have been reports NOAH talent did not get paid at all and that the company will likely have to figure out those details.

The report concluded by saying that despite not getting paid, the talent all performed as scheduled. Alberto Del Rio reportedly cut a promo after the show telling the fan that none of the talent got paid, which is not completely true.
