Bray Wyatt closed out Friday night’s episode of WWE SmackDown with an in-ring promo. He was scheduled to address his demons. He noted that what we are seeing is the most real and best version of Bray Wyatt. He also went on to say that there is a part of him that likes the fact that he is not afraid to do horrible things.
As Wyatt was speaking, the already very dim lights in the Enterprise Center in St. Louis went out and a mysterious masked person appeared on the big screen telling Wyatt that he never can hide from him. The mysterious person then referred to himself as “Uncle Howdy.”
There has been speculation since the vignette aired that the potential identity of the “Uncle Howdy” character could be Wyatt’s real-life brother Bo Dallas. The speculation is due to the fact that “Uncle Howdy” was seen in the vignette wearing a cross earring on his left ear. This is the same type of earring Bo Dallas wore on when he was on WWE television programming.
Below is an image I came across on the internet that has made the rounds, which has fueled the speculation that “Uncle Howdy” could possibly being Bo Dallas. It has been previously reported by The Wrestling Observer/F4WOnline that Dallas is expected back in WWE soon. However, this information has not been confirmed.
Dallas was released from WWE on April 15, 2021, citing budget cuts. He was released after over a year of absence from being on TV, ending his 13-year run with the company.
Sean Ross Sapp at Fightful pointed out on Twitter that “Uncle Howdy” could be possibly be Wyatt’s real life Uncle – former NWA/WCW and WWE star Barry Windham. Sapp notes that “Uncle Howdy” looks a lot like Windham.
Other speculation is that “Uncle Howdy” could be independent wrestling and and NJPW wrestling star Bateman. Below is an other image circulating the internet with Bateman’s photo next to the recent “Uncle Howdy” photo, thus fueling that speculation that Howdy could be Bateman.
