According to Deadline on Thursday, actress Maura Tierney has signed on as part of the cast for “The Iron Claw.”
Tierney will play Doris, the matriarch of the Von Erich wrestling family. The Iron Claw is based on the true story of the Von Erichs, which follows the rise and fall of the family.
She is best known for starring roles in the hit NBC TV show “ER” and the Showtime series “The Affair.” In addition she has been cast in a number of other hit TV shows.
Tierney joins Holt McCallany (Fritz Von Erich), Zac Efron (Kevin Von Erich), Harris Dickinson (David Von Erich), and Jeremy Allen White (Kerry Von Erich) in the cast for the upcoming film.
