As first reported by PWInsider, and then confirmed by multiple sources, WWE has released Nigel McGuinness.
It is said that McGuinness, 46, was released earlier this week.
Prior to his release, McGuinness was recently part of the commentary team for NXT Level Up. Prior to that, he worked in NXT UK and on 205 Live.
McGuinness first signed with WWE back in 2016. Before signing with WWE, he was best known for his time in Ring of Honor and then had a two-year run in IMPACT Wrestling as Desmond Wolfe.
McGuiness ended his in-ring career in 2011 after contracting Hepatitis B.
