According to a report by the NY Post, WWE SmackDown color commentator Pat McAfee is joining ESPN’s College GameDay as a full-time member. He is scheduled to be on the show this Saturday in Austin for the Alabama-Texas game.
When the NY Post reached out to ESPN, they declined comment, and McAfee did not immediately return a message.
It was further noted in the NY Post report that McAfee, 35, will continue to do his daily talk show that is on YouTube, as well as WWE Friday Night SmackDown on FOX. McAfee recently ended his relationship with SiriusXM, which had simulcast his show for two years.
The new deal with ESPN will create very busy schedule for McAfee. It is was said that after he is done on WWE SmackDown, McAfee will fly – presumably on a private jet, so that he is able appear on ESPN’s GameDay every Saturday.
Also per the NY Post, McAfee is in the midst of deal with FanDuel, which is set to pay him in excess of $120 million over four years.
