During an appearance on Friday’s Busted Open Radio Friday, AEW Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa said she will likely be out of action for a few months due to a back injury.
Rosa noted that she is currently in bed and in a lot of pain. Her doctor wouldn’t clear her to wrestle as she also said that can’t feel her legs and that her back injury has been a growing problem for roughly a year. She further stated that she learned the news Tuesday and the gravity of the announcement actually hit her on Wednesday.
She also addressed some of the allegations and rumors that came out of her promo on this past Wednesday’s Dynamite, where she said she would miss next month’s All Out PPV due to the injury. “This is not fake, not a work. If I can f**king work, I can f**king work.” Rosa then went on to say “I’m sorry, guys. I want to walk when I’m 40, I want to have kids…I have the right to say, ‘No, I can’t walk, I can’t do it.’ I don’t want to have surgery (and be out longer).”
It was announced on Wednesday’s Dynamite that an interim AEW Women’s Champion will be crowned at All Out.
