According to Fightful Select, Jon Moxley was said to be behind the Undisputed AEW World Title Match on this week’s episode of Dynamite, as opposed to the All Out PPV. It was noted that Moxley wanted the match to take place sooner rather than later, with one source saying that Moxley pitched the idea himself. Fightful further noted in their report, the AEW higher-ups were reportedly instantly on board with the idea, with CM Punk reportedly “eventually” agreeing to it. Fightful said it is unknon if this change was related to to the recent reports of the backstage issues involving CM Punk, which he more-less refuted in a recent interview with Sports Illustrated.
Fightful Select also stated that plans for the September 4 All Out pay-per-view has changed multiple times.
