Brandi Rhodes returns to the ring; Latest on Kris Statlander

Brandi Rhodes has reportedly made her in-ring return.

According to a report from PWInsider, Brandi Rhodes wrestled a match on Friday, August 12 at the WWE Performance Center, in Orlando, Florida. WWE frequently holds in-house events from the the center every Friday to give developing talent more in-ring time.

Brandi, 39, did indicate in an interview with Muscle & Fitness last month that she was planning on continuing her in-ring career.  It was also noted Brandi is a regular at the Nightmare Factory Professional Wrestling Training School.

Her last match took place on an episode of AEW Dark that was taped back on January 26, where she had a victory over KiLynn King on the show.  Brandi and Cody departed AEW back in February, with her husband Cody Rhodes making his return to WWE television at WrestleMania 38 Night One.

Further Update on Kris Statlander’s injury

On the latest AEW Road to Dynamite to West Virginia video (see below), Kris Statlander revealed she will be out in-ring action for at six to eight months following surgery for her recent knee injury.  

Over this past weekend, Statlander took to Instagram and notes that she completely tore her ACL and lateral meniscus. She suffered the injury during a recent taping of AEW Dark. You can see in the clip below, during the finish of the match, she fell awkwardly on her leg. She could be seen grabbing her right knee after delivering a big boot.
