WWE SummerSlam rated TV-14; Month of Rey Mysterio

As of now, next Saturday’s WWE SummerSlam has a listing of TV-14 rating on Peacock. It is unclear what a TV-14 could mean for the event. There has been some speculation the Last Man Standing Match with Roman Reigns defending the Undisputed Universal Title will be bloody.

There were reports last Thursday that the TV-PG rating for Monday Night Raw was being dropped and that the July 18 episode would be the re-start of the TV-14 rating for the first time since July 2008. The next day, new reports came out stating the change was being discussed internally and not finalized despite an internal memo saying otherwise.

There has been speculation what TV-14 would actually mean for WWE Raw in 2022. Some assumptions have been that this would be a return to the Attitude Era, While others think it would just be the loosening of language un-edited.

SummerSlam 2014 and 2018 both had a TV-14 rating.
