Member of WWE Board of Directors Officially Resigns

A member of the WWE Board of Directors has officially resigned.

According to a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing on July 6, it was revealed that Connor Schell has resigned from his position on the WWE Board of Directors. The filing notes Schell’s resignation is “due to an increased slate of responsibilities resulting from his new, expanded role at the newly formed The North Road Company.”

Schell was elected to the WWE Board of Directors back on June 1, 2021 along with current WWE President Nick Khan and Steve Koonin. Since this past April, WWE Board of Directors has been investigating a $3 million “hush pact” by Vince McMahon over an alleged affair, in which McMahon agreed to step down as CEO and Chairman of WWE. McMahon, however is still retained his position as the head of WWE creative.

You can read the portion of the SEC filing with Schell’s resignation below:

On July 6, 2022, Connor Schell resigned from the Board of Directors (the “Board”) of World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. (the “Company”), effective immediately. Mr. Schell resigned from the Board due to an increased slate of responsibilities resulting from his new, expanded role at the newly formed The North Road Company, a global, multi-genre content studio. Mr. Schell’s decision to resign from the Board was not due to any dispute or disagreement with the Company, its management or the Board on any matter relating to the Company’s operations, policies or practices.
