Lina Fanene (former WWE Superstar Nia Jax) took to Twitter to call out Wrestling Entertainment Series for continuing to advertise her for their debut show.
Fanene announced back on June 23 that she would no longer be appearing at WES’ debut event. The promotion however, continues to feature her on the poster for their debut show.
On Sunday, Fanene said the following on Twitter:
“I do not know why I am still on this poster, but I will REPEAT myself again…I will NOT be at the show,” Fanene wrote. “Please do not buy a ticket thinking you will see me perform or get a chance to meet me. I hate that this misleads people!”
WES previously announced their first show was set to take place on June 4. However, they then announced that the show was postponed and rescheduled for Saturday, July 9. Their debut is scheduled to take place at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham, England.
This past Saturday, IMPACT color commentator Matthew Rehewoldt said on Twitter that he has been “completely ghosted” by the WES.
Back on June 2, not long after WES announced their debut show was postponed and rescheduled, several talent that were originally scheduled for the show, said that they were no longer going to appear.
Wrestling Entertainment Series is founded by Sunny Dhinsa and Gzim Selmani, (formerly known as Akam and Rezar of The Authors of Pain in WWE).
As of this report, Jonathan Coachman and IMPACT play-by-play announcer Tom Hannifan are still scheduled for the show, which is can be ordered through FITE TV.
