Mustafa Ali reportedly returning to WWE television soon
According to a report from Fightful Select, as of this past weekend, a possible return for Mustafa Ali to WWE television was discussed. It was also said that there was said to be a pitch made for him to appear on the April 25 episode of Raw.
Ali last wrestled on the October 29, 2021, episode of SmackDown. Last November, he took time off for paternity leave. Ali asked for his release this past January in a video that he posted on Twitter. WWE did not grant his request.
Big return reportedly planned for Asuka
According to a report from Fightful Select, as of this this past weekend, WWE reportedly has a big return planned for Asuka. It was noted WWE’s plan for Asuka to enter at least a “short-term program” with Becky Lynch. The report also noted that the return could be as soon as the April 25 episode of Raw.
It was further more said that there have been numerous pitches from both the talent and creative about how to bring Asuka back to WWE storylines. Asuka’s last appearance on WWE television was the 2021 Money In The Bank pay-per-view.
