The following matches were made during Friday night’s episode of WWE SmackDown that aired live on FOX.
WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match at WrestleMania 38 will now be a Four-Way.
Natalya and Shayna Baszler were added to the championship match for night two, which will take place on Sunday, April 3.
Natalya and Baszler interfered in a tag team match with Sasha Banks and Naomi squaring off against Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan with Women’s Tag Team Champions Queen Zelina and Carmella at ringside.
Later in the show, in a backstage segment, Sonya Deville congratulated Natalya and Baszler on their interference and then announced that they would be added to the WrestleMania match.
Sami Zayn vs. Johnny Knoxville at WrestleMania will now be a ‘anything goes’ match.
Zayn was mad that he did not win back the Intercontinental Championship from Ricochet on last week’s episode. Zayn said that it was Knoxville’s fault that he (Zayn) lost the title. He then promised he would show Knoxville what it means to step into his world. Zayn then challenged Knoxville to a ‘anything goes’ match for WrestleMania.
Knoxville later appeared on the show, in a video and issued his response. Knoxville said that at one time he fault Butterbean, and strapped himself to a rocket, before accepting Zayn’s challenge.
