Cody Rhodes reportedly has signed with WWE

Mike Johnson of PWInsider is reporting that multiple sources within WWE has confirmed to him (Johnson) that Cody Rhodes signed a new contract with the company 10-14 days ago.

Johnson also noted that the current plan is for Rhodes debut WrestleMania weekend, with early speculation being that he will be featured on Monday Night Raw.

According to F4WOnline, the plan for WrestleMania 38 is Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins.

Back on February 15, 2022, it was announced by AEW that Cody and Brandi Rhodes would not be re-signing with AEW, and would be moving on from the company. Cody and Brandi had been a part of AEW since the company started in 2019. Cody served as an Executive Vice President, while Brandi was the Chief Brand Officer, in addition to being on-screen talent for the company.

Cody Rhodes was part of WWE television from July 2007 until May 2016 when he requested his release. Prior to the launch of AEW, Rhodes appeared for IMPACT Wrestling, NJPW and ROH, where he was the ROH World Champion for 106-days.

AEW CEO and President Tony Khan explained that he wanted to keep Cody Rhodes, the two sides could not come to terms on a new deal.
