CHALLENGE: Arm Wrestling
Worth 4 Points
Quickest in the first round gets a bye to the final. The first two are Saxton and Young. Young manages to get the win at 23.7 seconds. Connor vs Lucky Cannon is next. Lucky grabs Connor’s hand and then pulls back and uses a disinfection liquid on his hands. The bottle had been in his tights. They lock up again and Lucky puts more liquid on their locked hands. During Lucky struggles, but manages to get the disinfectant liquid into Connor’s eyes. Lucky Cannon is DQ’ed and Connor Moves on. Next is Titus vs. Novak. Novak Jumps the gun and they get pulled back for another attempt. Titus wins. In the next round, Connor defeats Darren to set up Connor vs. Titus in the finals. Titus wins. In this last match up, a “Boring” chant breaks out in the crowd.

MATCH: 6-Man Tag Match
O’Neil, Saxton and Connor vs. Young, Cannon and Novak
Regal mentions that Titus has the benefit of having Swaggle as his pro. Todd mentions says Titus is the only undefeated Rookie. Todd also mentions that the only two rookies with Redemption Points is Titus and Darren Young. The first part of the match is a tag in, do something, then tag the next person in to feature all the rookies. It eventually gets to the point where Saxton ends up in the heel corner and gets some heel shenanigans. This leads to the situation where Novak manages to lose Saxton and Titus hot tags in to dominate. The match devolves with heels and faces trading off knocking each other out of the ring off till Titus and Novak are alone. Titus gets a power slam on Novak and gets the pin and the win.
Winners: O’Neil, Saxton and Connar def. Young, Cannon and Novak after O’Neil pins Novak after a power slam
And that’s the stream. The show is over. (Thank god)
Quick Results:
* Titus O’Neil Wins the Arm Wrestling Challenge
* O’Neil, Saxton and Connar def. Young, Cannon and Novak after O’Neil pins Novak after a power slam
Grash Says…
Momma said there would be nights like this. Okay, there’s no other way to say this: Tonight’s show sucked. We got maybe 10 minutes of actual show content, and 40 minutes of ads and packages. Here’s what happened. Tonight’s NXT was tapped the night before (03/28/11) at one massive event that included RAW, Superstars, and Smackdown for the entire week. Yes. You read that right. This translated into a 40 minute run of just hype and ads. It’s Wrestlemania week, go figure. I blame Adam Martin for my hurting head. (I need to blame someone!)
Titus is right now pulling ahead as the early favorite to take this season of NXT. He got the win tonight in the arm wrestling challenge and pulling ahead of Darren Young in Redemption points. He’s the one who got the nod to get the win in the 6-man Tag match. And on top of that, he’s got Hornswaggle as his Pro. So that’s what the WWE is trying to suggest to us tonight.
Thanks to Lucky Cannon, I now know that you can get DQ’ed from Arm Wrestling. I know you guys hate the man, but you’ve got to love the robes he wears. Again, Cannon is the top heel on the show right now, and is worth every second he’s on right now. Remember heroes need bad guys to fight.
Darren Young has an odd night tonight. On the six-man Tag he joins up with the Heels (Lucky and Novak). I really don’t know what to think of this at this time. The ramifications of this haven’t sunk into me yet nor do I know how this will shake up the pecking order either. Check the Facebook comments in the morning after I’ve gotten a night’s rest. I’ll have a better idea then and probably will post something there.
I need to thank Alejandro Roggio for regularly commenting on my NXT recaps. I give him props for actually challenging what I write. I’d rather hear what you, the readers, think than to have you become set of dittoheads toting what I say as some sort of gospel. It makes writing these recaps more enjoyable.

Also, TNA still sucks.
