From Tommy Fierro:
In Julie Hart’s debut column ‘From The Hart’ on PopTheCrowd.com, Julie talks about Bruce Hart’s new book and how her ex-husband Bret Hart’s book raised more than a few eyebrows in the Hart family:
“So all this has caused me to stop and ponder in regards to writing a book. I’d like to include my own personal views and memories and I hope that I don’t contradict myself. Most people don’t realize that Bret’s book raised more than a few eyebrows in the Hart family and some of the family members didn’t agree with a lot of his recollections either. I have my own input on some things Bret said, but I didn’t discredit him in a public forum. I may have mentioned in a interview I did some years back about wanting to know why I was so angry all the time but I guess for me I was trying to defend my ego. I think that’s what happens when we use the media to manipulate, its all about our ego and justifying our behavior. It’s kind of like not wanting others to perceive us as the bad guy. The specific incident in which Bret is so angry about and is now trying to discredit Bruce is something to which I wasn’t privy too. I wasn’t in the room, but I do know there were words at that time, and those were said in private to me by Bret. Despite these things, both writers have taken many a fan on an incredible journey with their autobiographies. Bret’s with his incredible journey with WWE and his fascinating life with other Mega Superstars. Bruce with his stories of molding some of those very same Superstars that made it big. I suppose this is one of the downfalls when family members write a book. Each has their own perspective of how it all went down! I hope you all enjoy reading about this crazy ride we all experienced in the bizarre world we were all so lucky to be a part of.”
