WWE Hall of Famer “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair has been announced as an honorary host for a Donald Trump fundraising event taking place the Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Florida on Wednesday, December 1.
The fundraising event is for former Heisman Trophy winner Herschel Walker’s Senate Campaign. Walker, running as a Republican, is hoping to challenge incumbent Georgia Senator Raphael Warnock during the mid-term elections next November.
Along with Flair, Baseball Hall of Famer Tom Glavine and Doug Flutie will also be part of the event.
Flair was the hot topic of controversy after the airing of the Vice TV’s Dark Side of the Ring “Plane Ride From Hell” episode, that featured a segment of Flair’s alleged sexual harassment of flight attendant Heidi Doyle. Flair has denied all allegations before and after the episode aired.
After the episode aired, Flair had already scheduled appearances cancelled. He has been removed from the Then, Now, Forever, Together intros for Raw, SmackDown NXT, and PPV’s. In addition, his merchandise was removed from WWE Shop and his Car Shield commercials have also been put on pause.
