“Then. Now. Forever.” The WWE video leads us into the show.
We go into the American Airlines Center and see a real crowd and hear real noise. John Cena’s music hits, and he comes out to a THUNDEROUS ovation!
John Cena says he sees some people still filing in and tells them to get to their seats. Cena points out a young fan celebrating his 11th birthday. Cena says he’s missed the fans. Cena loves the electricity. Some are happy to see him, some are saying he sucks, but they’re all loud and here. Cena has often said the biggest superstar in WWE is the WWE Universe. Every person in this building knows what he’s talking about. They’re not just loud in here tonight. Tonight is deafeningly loud. Tonight is electric. Tonight is Monday Night Raw… from Dallas, Texas!
Cena says he’s here to answer a lot of questions. Last night, he made a meme-like return to interrupt Roman Reigns’ championship celebration. Reigns was mad, Paul Heyman was confused, Michael Cole was going crazy, and Pat McAfee still couldn’t see him. Who brought him back? It was the WWE Universe. They can cheer and boo together. It was also Roman Reigns. What is he here for? The WWE Universal Championship. When? About 5 weeks from now, at a little event called SummerSlam. Where? Allegiance Stadium, a good place to make a bet. Why? He could talk about being in the main event at a prestigious show and getting a record-breaking 17th championship. It’s not about any of that. It’s because Roman Reigns is an asshole. The crowd erupts! USA Network censors bleeped that. An “asshole” chant fires up. Cena believes Reigns needs to be knocked down a peg. This pathetic Roman Reigns experience has gone on long enough. Roman Reigns is an arrogant, self-absorbed, overhyped, overprotected, overexposed gimmick who’s not as over as he says he is. That is coming from Cena. There’s a saying. If you’re good, you’ll tell everybody. If you’re good, you’ll demand they acknowledge you. Cena says it wants a team effort from Dallas and asks for some applause. Cena gets the crowd going. The rest of the saying is if you’re great, they’ll tell you. Cena will be on SmackDown this Friday, and can’t wait to see Reigns there.
Now it’s time to get down to business. Riddle makes his way to the ring. Cena and Riddle go back and forth, saying, “Bro!” Cena bumps fists with Riddle and walks off.
It was so good to see John Cena kick off #WWERaw. It's been a long time since Raw has felt truly exciting and like a big deal. Since SD moved to FOX, this has come off like a low-level WWE show at times. Cena made it feel like a big deal and exciting again. I liked it.

-Commercial Break-
WWE Champion Bobby Lashley will have an open challenge tonight. We’ll also hear from new Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair, who will have a championship coronation.
6-Man Tag Team Match
Riddle and the Viking Raiders (Ivar and Erik) vs. Raw Tag Team Champions AJ Styles and Omos, and John Morrison w/ The Miz
As John Morrison and Miz make their way to the ring, Miz sprays the crowd with a Drip Stick, as well as Jimmy Smith and Byron Saxton. Morrison has the ring announcer call him, “America’s Moist Wanted.”
AJ Styles starts against Riddle. Styles shoulder blocks him down, so Riddle responds with a kick and a back body drop. John Morrison tags in and grabs Riddle’s leg. Riddle takes Morrison down and applies a shoulder lock before applying a crossface. Riddle gets out and goes for a kick, but Morrison ducks it and kips up. Morrison kicks away at Riddle, but Riddle knees him. Riddle climbs the corner and backflips over him before hitting an exploder for a near fall. Ivar tags in, and he tags Erik in. Ivar drives Morrison into Erik’s knee. Erik knees away at Morrison before driving him into the corner. Ivar tags in and hits a scoop slam. Erik then scoop slams Ivar onto Morrison for a two count. Riddle tags in, but Morrison kicks him away. Styles tags in, but Riddle kicks him coming in. Erik and Ivar run in, but Morrison gets them out of the ring. Morrison goes for a springboard hurricanrana to the floor on Erik, but Erik counters it. The Viking Raiders sandwich Morrison with an avalanche outside. Riddle goes over to celebrate, but Omos throws Styles over the top rope onto them like a missile.
-Commercial Break-
We come back from the break to see Omos applying a nervehold to Riddle and stomping away at him. Omos pulls Riddle to his feet, whips him to the corner, and avalanches him with a back elbow. Omos pulls Riddle to his feet and tags Styles in. Styles applies a front facelock before hitting a suplex for a two count. Morrison tags in and kicks away at Riddle. Riddle blocks a kick and takes Morrison down. Morrison quickly applies a neck vice, but Riddle fights up and knees him in the face. Styles quickly tags in and grabs Riddle, but Riddle flips through.
Erik tags in and attacks Styles. Styles quickly fights him off and hits a strike combination. Erik cuts him off and whips him to the corner. Styles goes for a slingshot, but Erik doesn’t follow. Erik then hits a flying double knee. Styles gets out of a suplex, but Erik flips him over and knees him in the face. Styles responds with a desperation Pele kick. Ivar and Morrison tag in, and they flip over each other. Morrison slides under a big boot and kicks him in the chest. Morrison goes for a springboard, but Ivar moves. Ivar cartwheels around him and hits a clothesline. Ivar hits a seated avalanche in the corner and goes to the top rope. Ivar goes for a moonsault, but he crashes and burns when Morrison moves! Morrison goes for Starship Pain, but Ivar moves.
Outside the ring, Riddle steals the Drip Stick from Miz and sprays Omos in the back. Riddle then gives the Drip Stick back to The Miz. Omos thinks it was The Miz that sprayed him. Miz starts backing his wheelchair up the ramp. Morrison goes to help, but Omos throws him into the ring in a fit of rage. The Viking Raiders hit the Viking Experience on Morrison for the win!
Winners by Pinfall: Riddle and The Viking Raiders
Fun 6-Man Tag Match. Omos has been exposed as exceedingly green in the past week, so having him in this match and not be tagged in just looks bad. I know you toss logic, but wouldn't you want a huge killer in the ring at all times? They just would not tag him in at all. #WWERaw
— Wrestleview.com (@wrestleview) July 20, 2021
I did really like the spot with Omos and the Drip Stick. Miz' reactions were fantastic here. #WWERaw

Footage is shown of Jaxson Ryker staring into the camera. Replays are shown of Ryker annihilating Elias in a Strap Match a few weeks ago. Ryker tells us to wait to see what he does to Elias next.
-Commercial Break-
Dallas is the home of next year’s WrestleMania.
“Ladies and gentlemen… Elias.”
Elias strums a chord and greets the crowd. Elias plays a riff and says there is a truth that will last forever. It’s a truth that is deep in their hearts. That truth is WWE stands for Walk With Elias. Elias says they still remember. Jaxson Ryker appears on the screen, clearing his throat. Ryker says people are tired of Elias introducing himself over again. After tonight, we’ll never hear the words, “Hello, I am Elias,” ever again.
Symphony of Destruction Match
Elias vs. Jaxson Ryker
The bell rings, and Elias charges into a hammer throw from Ryker. Ryker punches away at Elias and puts him in the corner. Ryker whips Elias into the ropes, but he lowers his head and eats a kick. Elias throws Ryker over the top rope and grabs a keyboard. Ryker cuts him off and jabs him in the midsection with the keyboard. Ryker slams the keyboard off his back and covers outside the ring for a two count. Ryker goes to hit him with a symbol, but Elias cuts him off. Elias hits Ryker with the symbol and throws it in the ring. Ryker grabs Elias and sends him into the drumset. Ryker slams Elias’ face off the bass drum and grabs an acoustic guitar. Ryker gets on the apron with the guitar and leaps off, but Elias knees him in the face out of midair for a near fall. Elias slams the keyboard on Ryker’s back and charges. Ryker sidesteps him and sends Elias headfirst into a gong. Ryker then kicks Elias in the midsection and destroys the acoustic guitar over Elias’ back.
-Commercial Break-
We come back from the break to see Elias and Ryker on the apron. Elias appears to be going for a powerbomb, but Ryker fights it. Ryker kicks Elias and knocks him into the ring. Elias hits him in the midsection with a trumpet and back elbows him down. Elias chops and punches Ryker back before throwing him out of the ring. Elias goes to drive him into the ring post, but Ryker puts the brakes on. Ryker sends Elias into the ring post and hits him a few times in the midsection with another acoustic guitar. Elias throws the drumset at Ryker. Ryker takes a tom-tom and slams it on Elias. Elias quickly fights back and bangs Ryker off the lid of a baby grand piano. Elias charges, but Ryker counters with a slam onto the lid of the piano. Ryker covers him on top of the piano for a two count.
They’re fighting on top of the baby grand piano now. Elias lifts Ryker upon his shoulders, but Ryker slides off and pushes him off the piano. Elias sweeps his feet and covers him on the piano, but Ryker kicks out at two. Elias grabs an upright bass (misidentified as a cello) and slams Ryker twice on the back for a near fall. The crowd chants, “This is awesome.” Elias gets Ryker in the ring and goes to the top rope. Ryker cuts him off, but Elias fights him back. Ryker stops him and looks toward two tables set up at ringside. Elias is bleeding from the forehead. Ryker hits a superplex off the second rope through the two tables on the floor for the win! Wow!
Winner by Pinfall: Jaxson Ryker
Even though I think Jaxson Ryker is completely talentless, he and Elias had a good hardcore match. Yes, anyone can have a good hardcore match since it's about how much punishment you can take, but this one had fun moments. Elias being busted open made it even better. #WWERaw

WWE Officials Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville are backstage with Mansoor. Mustafa Ali walks in. They tell Ali that they’ll let Mansoor and Ali become a tag team next week on Raw. Ali says he didn’t make that request. Mansoor says he understands what Ali has been trying to teach him. Ali says he’ll team with him this one time. Mansoor better not screw this up.
WWE United States Champion Sheamus walks in and kicks Mansoor out. Sheamus is asking why he has to face Humberto Carrillo again after beating him last week. Pearce says that wasn’t even a match since Sheamus attacked him. Sheamus asks how they know he wasn’t attacked first. Deville says they have to be fair. Sheamus is furious and says Carrillo will need a mask like his when he smashes his face in.
Charlotte Flair’s Championship Coronation is next.
-Commercial Break-
WWE Champion Bobby Lashley will issue an open challenge later tonight.
Charlotte Flair’s Championship Coronation
Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair makes her way to the ring. The 11x Women’s Champion makes her way to the ring. Flair says this feels right and is happy to be here as the new Raw Women’s Champion. The past year hasn’t been too kind, but with it came opportunity. She is the opportunity the people have been begging for. That snake, Rhea Ripley, is an opportunist. Flair doesn’t need to take a page out of anyone’s book. She is the book. Ripley can do as many moves of hers as she wants, but she’ll never measure up to the original. Just look up #CharlotteFlair. You would not believe the outpouring of congratulatory texts… A LOUD “Becky” chant fires up. Flair says Becky Lynch is at home breastfeeding while she is dominating as the Women’s Champion. They would not believe the outpouring of support she’s received after winning the Raw Women’s Championship at Money in the Bank. This makes her a 1x Diva Champion (and final), a 5x SmackDown Women’s Champion, and now a 5x Raw Women’s Champion. She’s the only 11x Women’s Champion in the history of WWE.
Rhea Ripley had her opportunity and failed. She beat Ripley last night and could beat her any night of the week. If she had the opportunity, she’d beat Ripley…
Rhea Ripley’s music hits. Ripley looks disappointed as she gets in the ring. Flair laughs and says she has Ripley’s title. A “Rhea” chant picks up. Ripley says if Flair thinks she can beat her any night of the week, then why not tonight? Flair says Ripley is in no condition to fight after the damage she did to her knee last night. While Flair was celebrating, Ripley was whining like a little girl in the corner holding her knee. For Ripley’s sake, Flair declines.
WWE Officials Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville come out to the stage. Deville congratulates Flair on becoming an 11x Women’s Champion. It’s an incredible accomplishment, however she just said she could beat Ripley any night of the week. Pearce says if Ripley is up for the challenge, then Flair should be, too. Pearce makes it official. Tonight in Dallas, Texas, they will have a rematch for the Raw Women’s Championship! Flair kicks her heel in Ripley’s face and kicks her in the injured knee. Pearce and Deville check on Ripley.
Video Package: Nikki A.S.H. wins the Women’s Money in the Bank match
Alexa Bliss is swinging around backstage. Bliss says she is super-duper excited because she has a special guest.
WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Natalya and Tamina make their way to the ring. They’ll face Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler, next.
-Commercial Break-
Non-Title Match
WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Natalya and Tamina vs. Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler w/ Reginald

Natalya takes her down on the third attempt and covers for a two count. Baszler tags in, but Natalya hits a German Suplex and Tamina tags in.
Tamina takes it to Baszler and hits a scoop slam. Tamina goes to the top rope, but Reginald gets on the apron to distract her. Natalya pulls Reginald off the apron. Tamina superkicks Baszler for the win.
Winners by Pinfall: WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Natalya and Tamina
Baszler is furious and yells at Nia Jax and Reginald. Jax embraces Reginald before dropping him with a head-butt. Jax and Baszler walk off. The crowd chants that Reginald sucks.
WWE 24/7 Champion Akira Tozawa runs down to the ring chased by the 24/7 goofs. They all fall down, and Tozawa is in the ring with Reginald. Reginald hits Tozawa with a twisting cross-body followed by a standing somersault senton to become the new 24/7 Champion. Reginald flips over Drew Gulak and does some handspring backflips to the back.
Not much of a women's tag match. Tamina is really rough to watch in the ring. Amazing how she's been around for so long and has never looked fluid in the ring.
I liked the stuff with Reginald, but after a few weeks of flipping around, it'll get old. #WWERaw

Video Package: WWE Champion Bobby Lashley destroys Kofi Kingston last night at WWE Money in the Bank
WWE Champion Bobby Lashley makes his way to the ring with MVP. He’ll have an open challenge, next.
-Commercial Break-
WWE Champion Bobby Lashley is in the ring. Lashley says he did all the talking he needs to do last night when he destroyed Kofi Kingston.
MVP says they are all lucky to be watching the All Mighty WWE Champion Bobby Lashley. They give Lashley a good ovation. MVP says these are all Dallas Cowboy fans. It’s been decades since they’ve seen a winner! Before we get to the business at hand, it’s time to address what happened last night. Lashley made a statement at the expense of Kofi Kingston. Over the past several weeks, Kingston has said some harsh things to him and the WWE Champion. The good life had made the champ soft. Kingston made MVP do some serious introspection and he reluctantly admits that Kingston was right. The champ did lose his edge. MVP apologizes to the champion for that. Kingston doesn’t realize that those words lit a fire in the heart of the WWE Champion. Anyone that steps in this ring and challenges him for the WWE Championship faces utter annihilation and humiliation. MVP feels sorry for the WWE Universe. That window of opportunity where the champ had some vulnerability is closed. No one will take this championship from Lashley. No more women. No more champagne. No more fun and games. No more bullshit. They are back to business! They are going to witness the most dominant WWE Champion in history.
Lashley asks who will accept the open challenge. Keith Lee makes his way to the ring! Corey Graves says this will be for the WWE Championship, but the graphic says it’s a Championship Contenders Match, whatever that is.
-Commercial Break-
The Raw Women’s Championship will be defended tonight as Charlotte Flair faces Rhea Ripley.
Championship Contenders Match

Lee goes for the Spirit Bomb, but Lashley gets out and hits a flatliner. Lashley chokes Lee on the middle rope. Lashley knocks him back and clotheslines him over the top rope. Lashley goes outside and lifts Lee up. A cameraperson appears to have been knocked over during this. Lee slides off and sends Lashley into the ring post before avalanching him. MVP shouts at Lee, distracting him. Lashley knocks Lee down to the floor. Lashley goes outside and viciously spears Lee down at ringside.
Lashley gets Lee in the ring and goes for the Hurt Lock. Lee fights it and flips Lashley off him. Lee charges, but Lashley hits a one-armed spinebuster. Lashley spears Lee down for the win.
Winner by Pinfall: WWE Champion Bobby Lashley
No clue why you'd bring Keith Lee back after being gone for nearly 7 months just to pin him. He got some stuff in on Lashley, but it was never really close at any point. The answer is don't put him in there with Lashley. #WWERaw
— Wrestleview.com (@wrestleview) July 20, 2021
Bobby Lashley is bleeding from the ear. Goldberg’s music hits, and he comes out to a big reception. Lashley looks stunned. Goldberg gets in Lashley’s face and screams, “I’m next!” MVP holds Lashley back.
Now Goldberg is here, so Keith Lee is already forgotten. #WWERaw
— Wrestleview.com (@wrestleview) July 20, 2021
That segment was everything that's wrong with the WWE product in 2021. You bring a guy back that people are excited about, pin him like he's a chump to "make the champ look good," and then kill his return dead with the return of an old guy (Goldberg) to get the big match. #WWERaw
— Wrestleview.com (@wrestleview) July 20, 2021
-Commercial Break-
WWE Champion Bobby Lashley and MVP are walking backstage. Kevin Patrick asks for a response to Goldberg’s challenge. MVP says they won’t dignify that disrespect with a response.
Jinder Mahal is in the ring with Veer and Shanky. Mahal says it’s his birthday. They show replays of Mahal beating up Drew McIntyre (with Veer and Shanky’s help) two weeks ago. Then McIntyre destroyed Mahal’s motorcycle. Now we see a replay of Veer and Shanky attacking McIntyre during the Money in the Bank Ladder Match and dragging him away. Mahal says he could buy 10 motorcycles, but McIntyre will never have another title opportunity as long as Lashley is WWE Champion. Before they resume the Punjabi Celebration, Shanky will sing, “Happy Birthday.” Shanky sings the worse rendition of “Happy Birthday” you’ve ever heard.
Drew McIntyre stops this with a chairshot to Mahal’s back. McIntyre wipes out Veer with the chair, and Shanky tries to calm McIntyre down. McIntyre hits Shanky in the midsection with the chair and beats him down with it. McIntyre goes outside and annihilates Shanky with a second chair. The crowd loved it.
If they can stop with the Drew McIntyre storytime garbage and just do more of what they did tonight, it shouldn't take that long to rehab him. Still, it's unreal that they screwed up McIntyre so much these past few months that he needs a rehab. #WWERaw

Good ending for the show with the feel-good moment of Nikki A.S.H. winning the #WWERaw Women's Title. It looked like this show, which was spiraling around the toilet after a hot start, was going to end with a DQ bomb. This doesn't hide all the warts, but it was a nice finish.
— Wrestleview.com (@wrestleview) July 20, 2021
Overall, this show started off hot and finished nicely, but the in-between was chock full of truly awful booking. The crowd being back certainly made things feel better, but it'll take a few weeks for it to truly balance out and we'll see what we're working with. #WWERaw
— Wrestleview.com (@wrestleview) July 20, 2021
The return of the crowd isn't going to be the fix-all solution WWE thinks it will be. The problem is you still have old man Vince McMahon and kiss ass, dumb ass Bruce Prichard running this thing. The fish stinks from the head… and they absolutely stink. #WWERaw
