Ben Carter, who recently made appearances for AEW, has signed with WWE.
First reported by F4WOnline, Carter will be heading to WWE, which was rumored over the past few weeks. It is unknown which brand Carter, who is from the United Kingdom, will be heading.
Carter made a number of appearances on AEW Dark and had a well-received match against Scorpio Sky on the Late Night Dynamite special in September. Carter also appeared on an episode of Xplosion for IMPACT Wrestling in early-October.
Carter made headlines recently when he tested positive for COVID-19 in late-September. He has since fully recovered.
AEW star Miro, formerly known as Rusev, also confirmed the news on his Twitch stream, noting that Carter had “gone to the dark side.”
WWE has yet to confirm the signing. Carter is a graduate of Seth Rollins’ Black and Brave Academy.
