The third COVID-19 outbreak in WWE affected last night’s Monday Night Raw.
Last week, we reported that the outbreak affected the WWE Performance Center, causing the facility to be shut down. Those infected are quarantining for at least 14 days and receiving medical care. Those that came in contact with those individuals also have to quarantine for 14 days.
Due to these limitations, a number of people were off WWE Raw. All five RETRIBUTION members (T-Bar, Mace, Slapjack, Reckoning, and Retaliation) were self-quarantining according to Pro Wrestling Sheet. The company did run a video package and flashed the lights in the arena to keep them involved in the program.
Wrestling Inc. also notes that two Raw referees are under quarantine as a precaution, so Jessika Carr, normally a SmackDown referee, was on the show last night.
Finally, WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler are quarantining as they were in contact with someone who has COVID-19. They will defend the titles against The Riott Squad when they are cleared to return.
